With a task in hand (Literally) for the last day of conditioning camp the athletes had a friend from the spartan trails that had to find a new home for.
THE ROCK
Taken from the older KMS athletes camps, all the J3 J4 and J5's had to hike without dropping a medium sized rock taken from the spartan death race course yesterday up to the top of the hill while thinking of words that best describe being a good teamate.
So up the hill we went and when i mean up i mean up. Straight into the famous super star woods we went. Over to ovation and back into the woods until we showed up somewhere near the glades and a place we spent most of this past November the NEW stairs. So we started climbing them again and right to the top where we were surprised with something missing (The Lodge) Then another small trek right to top of the famous Killington Peak a mere 4241 ft above sea level.
A little break to cool off and to eat some lunch we were off again down to area on the hill the athletes spend most of there time during the winter, Bunny Buster. Where they had a small sit down to get the task completed. The Team Rock now signed and sealed with the key words they will all try and live bye going into the 2011-2012 ski season.
With the task in hand now complete we still had a quick 30 second run / hour hike down bunny to get back down to the ski club however i have to say they were already looking forward to heading back up this October when weekend training camps start back up to add more to the team rock.
